About the Job:
Colasanti is looking for a Corporate Safety Director for our operations in Orlando, FL. Main responsibilities include planning, developing, coordinating and supervising all corporate safety, health and environmental protection functions. Develop, intergrade, and execute our Safety Plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring overall project safety.
- Develop, maintain corporate safety plan.
- Prepares site specific safety manuals.
- Review and approve project specific safety plans.
- Review and approve hazard analysis sheets specific to each job.
- Maintain safety data sheets.
- Understand ALL safety project documents.
- Participate in the hand off of project from estimating to project team.
- Attend Project Kick Off Meetings with GC
- Meet on a weekly basis to train and maintain relationships.
- Weekly site walks
- Mentor Project team
- Establish goals specific to each team.
- Meet with GC team – Ensure Client Satisfaction
- Coordination of crane and crane operators maintenance/work schedules
- Oversee all job incident/accident reports.
- Participate in OSHA/insurance site inspections.
- Address any OSHA related citations/issues.
- Identify project specific needs for safety materials/ PPE equipment.
- Assist estimator with project-specific safety budget.
- Work with project team to identify unique safety risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field of study.
- Minimum of 7 years of related construction safety experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certification
- Expert knowledge and application of safety and environmental principles and techniques
- Expert knowledge Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations
- Able to commute or relocate to Orlando, FL.
- Extensive experience in incident management and response
- Ability to assess construction processes to identify safety related exposures and lead implementation of a plan.
- Management experience with ability to delegate and direct work of others.
- Supervisory or management skills, able to mentor, guide, and develop teams
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications.
